Can you deliver my order in time for the funeral?
Yes, provided you order at least 3 hours before the ceremony begins. This is the time the florist needs to create the arrangement and deliver it personally to the location.
In practice: for a service at 2:30 PM, order before 11:00 AM.
Monday to Saturday, any order placed before 5 PM is delivered the same day, until 8 PM. On Sundays and public holidays, order before 10 AM for delivery before 1 PM.
Provide us with the deceased's first and last name, the date and time of the ceremony, and the name of the establishment. The deceased's name is essential: a funeral home holds several ceremonies on the same day and identifies deliveries only by this name.
If time is tight, ask us on the chat before ordering: our team responds in 2 minutes and verifies feasibility with the florist.
If the service takes place in less than 3 hours, delivery to the ceremony location is no longer guaranteed. You can then have a bouquet delivered to the family's home: this gesture is equally meaningful and has no time constraints.
Why use a funeral flower specialist?
Hommage & Fleurs does only this. No birthday bouquets, no wedding arrangements: only funeral flowers, year-round. This changes three things when you place your order.
A catalog entirely dedicated to funerals. Each piece displayed has been designed for a ceremony or for a grieving family, with its dimensions and purpose clearly specified. You are not searching for a wreath among Valentine's Day bouquets.
A delivery time stated upfront, known before you pay. We announce 3 hours between your order and delivery to the location. You therefore know immediately whether delivery is possible for a ceremony taking place that day, rather than discovering this after paying.
Advice on customs, not on flowers. Who gives a wreath, who offers a heart-shaped piece, what can be written on a ribbon, what happens to flowers after a cremation: these are the only questions we address. Our team answers them on the chat in 2 minutes.
Each arrangement is handcrafted by a professional florist near the delivery location, who delivers it personally. Nothing is shipped in a box.
Bouquet or ceremony arrangement
One question alone determines your choice: will you attend the funeral?
You will not be attending: send a sympathy bouquet to the family's home. It goes in a vase and accompanies the family in the days that follow.
You will be attending: send an arrangement to the ceremony location: wreath, spray, cushion or heart-shaped piece depending on your relationship to the deceased.
A wreath, mounted on an easel, is not suitable for a home: prefer a sympathy bouquet.
Where can I have the floral arrangement delivered?
To the funeral home or mortuary, during the viewing days preceding the ceremony. This is the safest place: staff are present continuously.
To the church, temple, or civil ceremony venue, before the service begins.
To the crematorium, knowing that flowers do not enter the technical area: they are displayed during the farewell ceremony and then removed.
To the cemetery, on the grave, after burial or during a later visit.
To the family's home, for a sympathy bouquet.
What is the difference between a wreath, spray, and sympathy bouquet?
The wreath is a circular arrangement mounted on floral foam and displayed vertically on an easel. Its diameter ranges from 40 to 100 cm. It is the most formal piece, traditionally offered by a group: extended family, colleagues, association.
The spray is an elongated arrangement of 60 to 130 cm, placed flat on the coffin or on the grave. It is the most versatile piece, suitable for all degrees of closeness.
The sympathy bouquet is intended for the family's home, not the ceremony location. It goes in a vase and accompanies the family in the days that follow. This is the format to choose if you are not attending the funeral.
A wreath, mounted on an easel, is not suitable for a home: prefer a sympathy bouquet.
How much do your arrangements cost?
Our arrangements start at €42.90 for a flowering plant and €45.90 for a sympathy bouquet. Budget €110 to €125 for a cushion, from €180 for a heart-shaped piece and from €195 for a wreath.
Price depends on the size, number of stems, and seasonal varieties. The sympathy card is included in all our deliveries.
How can I personalize my arrangement with a message?
Two different supports, often confused.
The sympathy card is included in each delivery. It is given to the family with the arrangement and bears your personal message: two or three sentences are sufficient.
The memorial ribbon is an option for ceremony arrangements. It is part of the floral piece, remains visible during the service, and bears a brief dedication that identifies the sender: "To our father", "The Bernard family", "His colleagues from the workshop", "Sincere condolences". You provide us with the text, which is printed on the ribbon.
Can I order flowers in the name of a family or group?
Yes. You can order in the name of a family, team, company, or group of friends, and this is the most common practice for wreaths and large arrangements.
The name that appears is the one you indicate on the ribbon and sympathy card: "The Bernard family", "Colleagues from the technical department", "Friends from the bowling club". Your order details are not shared with the family.
For an order in the name of a company, see our corporate catalog.
Can you send flowers for a cremation?
Yes. Flowers are displayed during the farewell ceremony, then removed before the coffin is introduced: they never enter the crematorium's technical area. They are then given to the family or placed outside.
For a cremation, a moderately sized arrangement that the family can take with them is often more practical than a large piece.
How long do flowers last after delivery?
A fresh flower arrangement on floral foam, wreath, spray, or cushion maintains its appearance for 4 to 7 days depending on the season and exposure. In full sun or high heat, count on 3 days.
A bouquet in a vase lasts 5 to 8 days if the water is changed every two days and the stems are trimmed at an angle.
A flowering plant or plant arrangement lasts several weeks to several months with regular watering. This is the appropriate choice for a grave that the family does not visit every week.
What flowers are used in your funeral arrangements?
Our arrangements draw on traditional mourning flowers: rose, lily, carnation, gerbera, orchid, and chrysanthemum in autumn, where it symbolizes remembrance. Foliage—eucalyptus, ruscus, aspidistra—structures the arrangement and extends its longevity.
White and green remain the default choice: they express respect without assuming particular intimacy. Pastel tones suit a gentler tribute, red suits a romantic bond, bright colors suit a ceremony celebrating a life.
Each arrangement is handcrafted by a professional florist, using flowers sourced that day. We commit to a harmony of colors and style, not to a specific variety.
What should I do if the death notice states "no flowers or wreaths"?
Respect the mention: it appears at the family's explicit request. It is often accompanied by an invitation to make a donation to an organization, whose name is specified. Make the donation and notify the family in writing, as they will not be informed otherwise.
